Why the net gives me heart burn?

from: F Morris

Thumbnail example
I always have to start out by saying I love internet marketing and its unlimited potential for success. Thyrough the right copywriting a person can make money selling everything from bibles to sex toys to wedding invitations, but sometimes the net can can be this major irritant to me, near the point of heartburn. People are always trying to get you to purchase their product and they will do anything to get you to, whether it is good or not. Ads will pop up under what your reading, filter into your mail box, and cram into your spam folder.

Today I read a terrific sales letter, the copywriting almost tempted me to pull out my wallet (that's saying a lot). The headline was amazing, catchy like it should be, the copywriting was downright compelling. However the copywriting crossed that line, that line between believable and fiction. The website promised a million dollars in sales in weeks online. The testimonials displayed unrealistic amounts of improvement in a short period of time. Yet, the copywriting sounded compelling, almost believable. The copywriting really created the urge to purchase. However, on the net if it is too good to be true it probably is.

I will say there are valuable products on the net. I have purchased a ton of internet marketing books that have increased my sales, but I have also bought my fill of muck. There are books on my shelves or saved on my hard drive that would make better coasters than books. My blog and website recommends credible products to my viewers to refrain others from the purchase of the garbage cluttering up the net. As awful as bad products are to the internet marketing's credibility, the truth is these products advertisements does help you and your business.

How? How can fraudulent products increase your internet marketing success? Not the products per se, but their copywriting design. Hopefully you have a credible product online to sell or you research your affiliate products before you promote them. Try to mimick what made you buy a less than credible product in your copywriting. What type of wors grabbed your attention? In your ads make sure that the headline grabs the attention of customers. Make the statement bold and impossible not to read.

As you write the copywriting portion make sure that you empathize with the reader. Show the reader you were once where they now are and explain how the product changed your life. Explain the main benefits of the product and why the customer must choose your product over other products with similar promises. You establish trust and credibility through your copywriting and then you will establish customers.

Spam If You Want Jail Time

from: J Schipper

Spam is more than just an annoying, time-wasting nuisance that decreases business productivity, fills up server space and clogs bandwidth. It also includes attempted fraud on a grand scale via "phishing" emails, false requests purportedly from companies such as Ebay or Paypal, asking for credit card information.

Almost all email users worldwide receive spam, and despite all attempts to defeat it, this marketing method seems to be increasing. According to a study by IDC, in 2004 38% of the 31 billion emails sent every day in North America were spam, up from 24% in 2002. In August 2004, MessageLabs found that 84.2% of all emails scanned were spam. In a weeklong study conducted by the University of Texas, 56.2% of messages filtered through Brightmail were flagged as ...
